Barcelona is not only Gaudi and discos. It is also sea and beaches. As it was really hot yesterday, we decided to make a break, myself from preparing my trip in South America and Pierre from preparing his business plan.

Montgat’s beach on a July sunday
That’s the great point with Barcelona, you are always close from some beach. And if you don’t like one, you have plenty from which to choose. Yesterday our choice was Montgat, at 14 km North of Barcelona. For me it’s one of the best beaches in the Northern nearby of Barcelona. You can play beach volleyball (there are always free fields at some time of the day – we did, but sand was so hot that we couldn’t stand long), try surfing (yes, you can!), have a bath on the crystal-clear water, simply lay down on the beach, or drink a bear at some “chiringuito”, the typical beach bars which appear only in summer on the Spanish beaches, or just .

You may ask what is this industry on the background? Well, this is Barcelona’s hydroelectric station and it’s part of its heritage.

Look at the beautiful water we have in Barcelona!

Enjoying time together before my long trip

Trying to breath under water!!

The water wasn’t totally crystal-clear because of the waves

Even on the Mediterranean sea you can find waves

Nous sommes jaloux.
Et oui, il fait plus beau qu’en Bretagne ! J’essaie d’en profiter avant de remonter vers le grand froid !
